Dementia Awareness Sessions Dates for 2017

‘Dementia Friends'
Sessions in Shaftesbury

Being a Dementia Friend is about having an understanding of dementia and the small things we can all do that can make a difference to people living with dementia.

As part of the National Dementia Friendly Community initiative, Cedars Castle Hill in partnership with The Westminster Memorial Hospital are working towards Shaftesbury becoming a dementia-friendly Town to help people living with dementia feel included, understood, respected, supported and confident they can contribute to community life.

We are now rolling out the next set of Dementia Awareness sessions which are provided free of charge by the Alzheimer's Society. Individuals or representatives from any organisation are all welcome. On completion of the awareness session you will become a recognised Dementia Friend . There will also be the opportunity for those who are interested to sign up to become Dementia Champions.
